Joe Schmidt is the New Zealand and Irish rugby union coach. In addition for coaching for Leinster, Schmidt coached Bay of Plenty, and was an assistant coach with the Blues and Clermont Auvergne. Schmidt remained head coach of Ireland between the years of 2013 and 2019 during which time the team won three Six Nations Championships, including a Grand Slam in 2018. Joe Schmidt remains one of the most successful rugby coaches in history.
