Diana Nyad

Diana Nyad is a world champion athlete, renowned inspirational speaker, author and compelling storyteller whose extraordinary life is a testament to perseverance, resilience and the power of the human spirit.

In 2013, at the age of 64, Diana achieved a goal she had pursued for 35 years: becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage. She completed the remarkable 110.86-mile journey in 52 hours, 54 minutes and 18 seconds, arriving on the shores of Key West with a message that has since inspired millions: “Never Ever Give Up.” Nyad_CAASpeakers_Bio_07.2024

Beyond her achievements in endurance sport, Diana has spent more than three decades as a sports journalist and storyteller, contributing to outlets including NPR and The New York Times.
