Vintage

A beautiful Victorian market, George’s Street Arcade connects George’s Street and its many secondhand shops with Drury Street and Castle Market Street. Inside its gothic façade you’ll find forty independent retailers selling new and vintage clothes, jewellery, books and records. Outside, you’ll find Jenny Vander and The Harlequin, both treasure troves for those who can’t resist a retro rummage.

Department Store

All within ten minutes walking distance of each other, Dublin’s city centre has two main shopping meccas. Arnotts, Ireland’s oldest and largest department store, can be found on Henry Street. On Grafton Street meanwhile, let the concierge at Brown Thomas welcome you through the beauty hall to handbags and high fashion.

Boutique

Originally a lord’s townhouse, Powerscourt Shopping Centre is now an elegant shopping paradise. Throughout the former family residence are three levels of carefully curated boutiques with jewellery, knitwear, designer pieces and antiques. For a break from shopping, there’s lots of stylish eateries inside and nearby where you can relax and unwind.

High Street

Dubliners have long been divided on which is the best street for high street shopping; Henry Street or Grafton Street. Both have their advantages and, as they’re only ten minutes walk apart, there’s really no need to compromise.

Shop-a-holic

At either side of the city centre lie two shopping havens that are sure to thrill committed shoppers; Dundrum Town Centre to the south and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre to the west. Both are less than 45 minute bus rides from O’Connell Street and Aston Quay, and the Green Luas goes direct to Dundrum from St Stephen’s Green too. Both have plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés and cinema screens to keep you entertained from day to night.
