Richard Curran is business editor of the Irish Independent, Ireland’s largest selling daily broadsheet. Before joining the Irish Independent in 2000, he was business correspondent with RTE News.
He has also been business editor and assistant editor of The Sunday Tribune. He co-wrote a book on entrepreneurship in Ireland and he regularly presents programmes on business and current affairs on Today FM. Richard is available as a speaker/chairman on topics relating to any aspect of business or the Irish economy.
Before delving deep in the dismal science Richard trained as a sociologist and had a varied career at one time working in a juvenile detention centre. He was also a research assistant to a psychiatrist on an eating disorders project and he remains very well informed on this subject.
